“Loveliest of lovely things are they on earth that soonest pass away. The rose that lives its little hour is prized beyond the sculpted flower.”
William Cullen Bryant
Rosalie Edson has passed. It is sad. It is a true loss. It is too soon. But she would also be the first person to say, “Jeez, get over it already. I had a great life!” And she was right. So, rather than simply mourn her passing, let us celebrate her life with the hope, joy, and energy she brought to it. Let us believe in people, her most precious source of enjoyment on this earth. Let us reach out to others to help them, to help them realize the greater good within them, to help them transcend mundane worries for grand dreams, to help them take action to improve their lives, as she often did.
We at the Lynnk valued Rose and everything that she brought to the table. And yes, that table will be lessor because she’s no longer in one of the seats. But her spirit lives on in each of us that knew her, particularly those that knew her well. To honor her, we republish the blog she wrote for us that so captures her love of life and people and fulfillment and joy. Rosalie, you will be missed, but never forgotten…
